Welcome to 3rd Grade!

I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Pine Bush! I am eager to meet you and start what will be an energetic year filled with growing, learning, and sharing. I want to take this opportunity to explain more about myself and what you can expect this year.

First, I have taught Kindergarten and 5th grade, as well as tutored many students in between. I have been fortunate to teach in a variety of settings, even including Houston, TX! The northeast is my home and I am thrilled to be settling in a place as great as the Capital Region. In addition to a Masters in Education, I have a degree in Graphic Design, which comes in very handy in teaching. I believe each student will be successful in my classroom. Because people learn in different ways, I strive to get to know my students very well. This strong rapport enables me to individualize instruction. I hold high expectations for my students and help them achieve their goals, and set new ones to attain. There will be many opportunities this year to contribute to our classroom, as well as working with other classes. Students will have the chance to share learning experiences and will certainly feel comfortable and confident in our classroom.

I understand how stressful beginning the year with a new teacher can be - for both students and parents - but I assure you that I will be putting in 110% effort to ensure your son/daughter has a stellar year in 3rd grade. Throughout the year, I will keep in close contact with you, and ask that if you have any questions or concerns at any time, to feel free to contact me either by email, phone, letter, or by scheduling a time to meet in person.
