| The Kindness and Justice Challenge runs for 9 days in January. Students in all third grades participate together to be caring and fair to one another. When students observe others acting in a kind and just way, they write the act on a slip of paper. The slips of paper are tallied and put together to form a long paper chain. The chain is on display in the green pod. Students learn a new vocabulary word each day, having to do with character, such as vision, empowerment, courage, inclusion, nonviolonce, tolerance, and many others. |
